Merritt Capital Partners, Ltd. was formed in October 1999 by Marshall Merritt and Joe Merritt. MCP specializes in the acquisition, management, leasing, and sale of commercial real estate. It’s primary focus includes multi-tenant shopping centers and single tenant assets. MCP continues to acquire quality real estate occupied by national-brand tenants across Texas and surrounding areas.

Marshall Merritt

Marshall has been in the oil, gas and real estate business in Dallas since 1984. After working for a large, publicly held natural gas corporation, he formed Merrimac Energy Corp. in 1990 to acquire, drill, and operate oil and gas properties. From 1995 to 1999, Merrimac was active in acquiring and developing real estate properties.

Since the formation of MCP, he has focused on acquisitions and development of land and retail properties. Marshall graduated from The University of Texas in 1984 and holds a Texas real estate license. Marshall and his wife Leslie, have been married for 34 years, and have 2 children and 2 granddaughters.

Joe Merritt

Joe has been in the commercial real estate business in Dallas since 1985. He was employed by small development and investment companies (J.D. Simms & Co., Sterling Projects, Inc., and S&B Financial, Inc.) and large brokerage companies (CB Richard Ellis & Transwestern Commercial Services) focusing on leasing and management.

Joe Manages and leases MCP’s properties and provides brokerage services to third parties. Joe graduated from The University of Texas in 1985 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and holds a Texas real estate broker’s license. Joe and his wife Holly, have been married 25 years, and have 2 children.

Charlotte Hickey

Charlotte Hickey, a Dallas native, joined Merritt Capital Partners in late 2013 to serve as its Chief Financial Officer. Her experience includes corporate lending, oversight of venture capital portfolios, sales of distressed loan packages, and corporate finance. In connection with her venture capital duties, she served as a director of several portfolio companies. Mrs. Hickey is a 1980 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, with a BBA in Finance.

She and her husband Jeff, have been married 40 years, and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

Stacy Rash

Stacy Rash is the Senior Property Manager with the Dallas/Fort Worth office of Merritt Capital Partners. In this position, Rash is responsible for overseeing the management of a portfolio of retail centers in the Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding areas. Rash has extensive commercial real estate and property management experience. Prior to joining Merritt Capital Partners, she managed the Fort Worth Stockyards. She entered the commercial real estate field in 1995 in a position with Building Asset Management, Inc., in San Antonio, Texas. Stacy received her real estate license in 1998 and studied Business Management at San Antonio College in San Antonio, Texas.

She and her husband Leonard married in 1998. They have 3 children and 1 grandson.

Will Merritt

Will has been in the commercial real estate business since 2014. He graduated from The University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After working for Colliers International for two years as a financial analyst, he was an investment sales broker at STRIVE for six years. His focus was single and multi-tenant retail. During this time, Will received recognition becoming a Senior Associate and was one of the top producing agents in the company. He also obtained his Texas real estate brokerage license and CCIM designation.

In 2023, Will joined Merritt Capital Partners as the Director of Acquisitions/Dispositions. Will and his wife Brittany, married in 2020 and have two daughters.
